Alumni Association Hall of Fame award in Memory of Robert "Pat" and Judy Lewis
Robert "Pat" Lewis, class of 1967, was a mentor, coach, and community leader and his wife Judy (LaPorta), class of 1967, influenced the lives of many young people in Rensselaer for many years. He was posthumously inducted into the Alumni Hall of Fame in 2019. Pat and Judy's son, Scott Lewis and his wife Julie, wanted to further honor his parents by establishing a yearly financial award of $1,000 to one student meeting the following qualifications:
4-year Rensselaer High student.
- Student-Athlete
- 2.5 or higher GPA
- Moving on to college/service academy
- Involved in a community/volunteer organization. For example, the Boys and Girls club or Special Olympics, coach or volunteer youth sports
This award is chosen by Faculty, Guidance, Alumni members, and Administrators at the end of the year.
