Michael O Pratt , VRHS Class of 1973
Michael Owen Pratt passed away suddenly on August 5, 2017, in Jaco, Costa Rica. Michael was born on April 18, 1954, in Albany. He was the son of Walter S. and Rose (Clarke) Pratt. Michael lived in Rensselaer before moving to Siesta Key, Fla., and then moving to Costa Rica for the last 12 years. He graduated from Rensselaer H.S. and also served in U.S. Navy. During his life, Michael had many jobs and titles. He lived his life the way he wanted and was very happy in Costa Rica. Michael had many friends and acquaintances who loved him and will miss him dearly. Michael was brother to Barbara (McManus), deceased, and Christine (Dave) Nichols; uncle to Jodi (Tom) Wiley, David (Jennifer) Nichols, Staci Beth, Mary Jane, Suzie and JoAnn; great-uncle to Nigeria, Jared, Shaun and Milania. He is survived by a large family of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and in-laws all who loved him and will miss him.
