Danny J. Myers, 59, of Union St. passed away peacefully with his family at his side, after a long illness on Saturday December 9, 2023, at Albany Medical Center. Born in Troy, he was the son of the late Walter and Eleanor Woltjen. He was educated in Rensselaer schools. Danny was a self-employed maintenance worker. He had a big and caring heart and would do anything for anyone in need. He enjoyed fishing, camping, horse shoes, baseball and basketball. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan. He is the brother of Patricia Kendall (Joseph Landry) of Hudson, Darlene McCarty of Georgia, Martha Woodworth of Glenmont, John Truesell (Justine Bleau) of Mechanicville and Thomas Woltjen of Lansingburgh. Several other foster brothers and sisters, nieces and nephews, numerous close friends as well as his best friend Willow also survive. Funeral services will be Thursday Dec. 21, 2023 at 1 p.m. at the Philip J. Brendese Funeral Home, 133 Broad St. (Rte.32), Waterford. Interment will follow at New Rural Cemetery, Rensselaer. Relatives and friends may visit with the family on Thursday, Dec. 21, from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. prior to the funeral service.
