Mary L Sackett , VRHS Class of 1972
RENSSELAER Mary L. Sackett, 64, passed away on Monday, January 7, 2019. Born in Rensselaer, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Dorothy (Bailey) Sackett; and wife of the late James "Sonny" Caldwell (RHS '67). Mary enjoyed being with and caring for her family, watching Jeopardy and loved her dog Chase and cat Benjamin. She was an avid reader. She is survived by her children, Liane Caldwell, Joel (Jessica) Caldwell and James (Kanika) Caldwell; and her sisters, Harriette (Ron) Roberts and Betty (James) Venema (RHS 1968). Mary is also survived by her twelve loving grandchildren, Cameron, Daeshawn, Dominique, Taiyah, Gabrielle, Kaylee, Paige, Kahleel, Kasier, Jah-vel, Jah-sel and Jaymere; her great-grandson Azai and many nieces, nephews and friends. Mary will be greatly missed by all. Mary's family would like to thank the staff at St. Peter's Hospital and Hospice for their kindness and compassion. Per Mary's request there will be no services. Interment will be private in the Saratoga National Cemetery at a later date.
