Robert "Bud" Dale Crawford , VRHS Class of 1955
Robert "Bud" Dale Crawford, 81, passed away on June 12, 2018, after a short illness. He was born in Albany to the late Robert Crawford and Evelyn Acker Crawford. After proudly serving in the U.S. Army, Bud joined Niagara Mohawk until taking an early retirement in 1994. He enjoyed having more time to pursue his many hobbies including flying, fishing, trap shooting, camping and golfing. During this time, he also met his beloved partner, Linda Waite Jordan. He and Linda spent winters in Florida, enjoyed travel and had many fun adventures together. They also shared in their love of NASCAR, baseball and football, with Bud being an avid Yankees and Giants fan. In addition to Linda Waite Jordan, Bud is survived by his sons, Mark Crawford, David Crawford (Jill) and a daughter, Linda Crawford Heisler (Steven). Bud was also beloved by Linda's two children, Richard Jordan (Charlene), Laura Killian (Patrick); and Linda's grandchildren, Alivia and Brock Killian. Also, nephews, Paul Yonkers, David Yonkers Gary Yonkers, James Plante and nieces Susan Yonkers, Helen Russo, Jennifer Klena, Jeanne Taylor, Jennifer Shaver, Karen Callanan; and brother-in-law, Paul Yonkers Sr. Bud will be missed by many friends, former co-workers and Jake, the bird. Bud was preceded in death by his sister, Barbara Yonkers; his former wife, Joan Plante Crawford; and his former brother-in-law James Plante. Interment with military honors in the Gerald B.H.
