Butler, Nathan RENSSELAER Nathan Butler, age 60, of Rensselaer, passed away on Friday, August 1, 2014, at his residence after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born in Albany and lived in Rensselaer all his life. Nathan was a graduate of Rensselaer High School and was employed by Bast Hatfield as a mason and also worked at Amtrak. Husband of Susan Butler; son of the late Tony and Fannie (Taylor) Butler; father of Dy-wane (Laura), Bianca, Nathaniel, Seth and Brandon; grandfather of Christian, Madeline, Emily, Cameron, Jamison, Brionna and Peyton. Nathan is survived by five brothers, five sisters, and is predeceased by two brothers and three sisters. He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews and his special friend, Ken Starteri.
