Jacqueline (Ketzer) Decker , VRHS Class of 1970
Jackie Decker, 72, of Clifton Park, passed away November 3, 2024, surrounded by family after a peaceful stay at the Hospice Inn at St. Peter's Hospital. She was born in Albany, N.Y., to Joseph F. Ketzer and Dorothy (Fox) June. Jackie attended Rensselaer High School and became a Secretary for NYS DMV's Personnel Office. Jackie was a devoted mother to Jessica Decker Emerick and Russell Decker (Megan). Her children were her pride and joy. She was also a proud Nana to her five grandchildren, Hailey, Dylan, Ellie, Kieran and Paige. Jackie was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Joseph Ketzer; and is survived by siblings, Joyce Sheehan (Marty), Kenneth Ketzer, Richard "Dick" Ketzer (Elena), William Ketzer (Heather); and many nieces and nephews. Jackie and her sister, Joyce, were very close. Their sisterhood was a source of unwavering support and joy throughout their lives. Along with Joyce's children, Laurie and Joey, they shared countless memories and adventures that will be forever cherished. The family will receive visitors at the Applebee Funeral Home, 403 Kenwood Ave., Delmar, on Friday, November 8, from 10-12 p.m., followed by remarks from her family. The burial will immediately follow at Our Lady Help of Christians Cemetery in Glenmont, N.Y.
