Peter C Speir , VRHS Class of 1953
Peter C Speir of Fort Pierce, FL formerly of Sand Lake, NY passed away July 5, 2017 after a brief illness at age 81. Pete was employed by the United States Post Office and retired after 35 years of service. Pete was an Avid outdoorsman who enjoyed backpacking and cycling throughout the Adirondacks. He also cycled along the Erie Canal from Buffalo to Albany. Pete is predeceased by Brother Gilbert Speir and leaves behind to cherish his memories, beloved wife of 61 years, Glenda Speir, daughters Eva St.Germain, Julie Harper, Robin Baker (Dave), Kirsten Lane (Wally), Sisters Janet Bush, Laurel Wilson, 11 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and also his lifetime friend Jim McNary. A celebration of life is planned at a later date in Fort Pierce, FL
