RENSSELAER William E. Reimann, age 71 years, of Gordon Court, passed away Tuesday, April 18, 2006 at the Community Hospice Inn at St. Peter's Hospital in Albany. He was born in Pittsburgh, Pa. and lived most of his life in Rensselaer. Mr. Reimann was employed by New York Telephone Co. for 30 years and was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America. He was also a member of the James Hill Hook and Ladder Fire Co. in Rensselaer. Bill was an avid bowler and enjoyed traveling with his wife, Marcia to Schroon River in the summertime. He is survived by his loving wife of over 50 years, Marcia Smith Reimann; father of Bill (Debbie) Reimann, Kathie (Robert) Van Dyk, and Rick (Tracy) Reimann; grandfather of Scott Van Dyk and fiancee Nicole Cooney, Craig Van Dyk, Helena Reimann, Jack Reimann and Shawn Boule'; father-in-law of the late Joann Reimann; son of the late William and Mildred Paige Reimann; son-in-law of Henrietta Smith of Rensselaer; brother of the late Jean Thompson and Sandra Staats; brother-in-law of William Staats, Laura Birmingham, Bobbi (John) Barhydt and Diane Crosby. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Funeral will be from the W.J. Lyons Jr. Funeral Home, 1700 Washington Avenue, Rensselaer Friday afternoon at 12:00. All are welcome to attend. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the funeral home Thursday from 4-8 p.m. Interment will be in Bloomingrove Cemetery, Defreestville.
