James F Jukes , VRHS Class of 1956

Jukes, James F. CLIFTON PARK James F. Jukes, 78, of Clifton Park died Friday, October 30, 2015, at Albany Medical Center.

Jim was born in Rensselaer and was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War. Jim was a gas planner for Niagara Mohawk for 37 years retiring in 1994. Jim was a member of the Melvin Roads American Legion and loved to vacation at the Jersey Shore with the same group of friends every year. Jim was a gun aficionado and loved to target shoot. Jim was known to his friends as "Dapper Dan" and will always be known for his impeccable taste and always being dressed to the nines. Jim had a welcoming smile and will always be remembered as a friend to everyone.

James is survived by his wife, Grace (Gisoldi) Jukes; a daughter, Jacquelyn J. Cafaro; and a son Robb C. (Maureen) Jukes; and a brother, Donald E. (Janet) Jukes. James is the proud "Poppy" of Tyler and Matthew Jukes and Alexander and Angelo Cafaro. Jim is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Predeceased by his parents, George and Pauline (Rossman) Jukes.

Funeral from the Rockefeller Funeral Home and at Holy Spirit Church, East Greenbush, where a Liturgy of Christian Death and Burial was celebrated. Interment in Greenbush Cemetery, Rensselaer.
