George T Kirsch , VRHS Class of 1954

Kirsch, George T. RENSSELAER George T. Kirsch, age 77, of Rensselaer passed away on Monday, July 7, 2014 at St. Peter's Hospital in Albany.

He was born in Rensselaer and was a lifelong resident of the city. George was employed as a stockbroker and for over 30 years he was the owner of G.J. Travel Express in East Greenbush. George was a communicant of St. John the Evangelist and St. Joseph Church in Rensselaer and was also a U.S. Army veteran. He was a member of the Sons of the American Legion. George enjoyed traveling all over the world, casinos, and the horses once a year.

Son of the late Ann Tracey and Leonard E. Kirsch. Dear companion of Joseph Mosca. Brother of James (Anne) Kirsch and the late Leonard E. Kirsch; brother-in-law of Leonard's wife Lois; also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Funeral from the W.J. Lyons Jr. Funeral Home, 1700 Washington Avenue, Rensselaer, Friday, July 11, 2014 at 9 a.m. and 10 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist and St. Joseph Church, Herrick Street, Rensselaer where the Liturgy of Christian Death and Burial will be offered. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the funeral home Thursday from 4-7 p.m. Interment will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, East Greenbush.
