Cassidy, Thomas F. III STILLWATER Thomas F. Cassidy III, 52, died Sunday, September 13, 2015, at his residence after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Born in Albany he was the son of the late Edward and Virginia Malcham Cassidy. He was a 1981 graduate of Rensselaer High School, a 1985 graduate of Southern Vermont College with an associate's of arts degree and a 1991 graduate of St. John's University with a bachelor of arts degree. Tom has been employed by Casella Waste Systems, Inc. since 2003. He received a certificate of achievement in 2012 for his participation in the Believe to Achieve Sales Training program and also received multiple Circle of Excellence Awards for outstanding sales performance. Tom took pride in his career. His talent and knowledge in the industry was well respected by his peers, as well as his customers throughout the tri-county region. In addition to his passion for his sales career, his other passion was for cooking. He would entertain his family and friends with an abundance of homemade dishes. He is survived by his fiancee, Susan Stalker and his siblings, Nancy Cassidy of Albany and Edward M. Cassidy. He was the beloved uncle of Aaron Cassidy. A memorial service was held Thursday, September 17, 2015, at the Philip J. Brendese Funeral Home, Waterford.
