Marjorie E (Van Vorst) Cheetham , VRHS Class of 1951
COLONIE Marjorie E. Cheetham, 73, passed away at her home on Tuesday, November 28, 2006, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Rensselaer, she was the daughter of the late Hooper and Marjorie VanVorst. She worked at the Ann Lee Nursing Home for many years before her retirement. She was a member of the Niskayuna Reformed Church. Marjorie was very dedicated to her family. Her most enjoyable and happiest times were spent with her children and grandchildren. Marjorie is the beloved mother of David (June) Cheetham of Latham, Tammy Gorman of Colonie, Timothy (Mary) Cheetham of Brunswick, Craig (Memory) Cheetham of Schenectady and the late Dawn Cheetham. She is the sister of Jane (Rodney) Steinbach and Hooper (Georgia) VanVorst, all of Rensselaer. Marjorie is the cherished grandmother of Patrick, Robin, Michael, Danielle, Scott and Kayla. She is the great- grandmother of Mackenzie and Christian. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held at New Comer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie. Interment is in Memory's Garden.
