Hughes, Clarence E. RENSSELAER Clarence E. Hughes, 77, of Rensselaer passed away suddenly Sunday, August 2, 2015, at home. Clarence was born in Albany to the late Claude and Maudell Ferguson Hughes. He was a district manager for General Motors for more than 20 years. He was a Marine Corps veteran of the Korean War. Clarence is survived by his wife, Dorothy P. Hughes; three daughters, Angela D. Hughes, Patrice Pittman-Quinn and Delethia Marvin; seven sisters, L. Rita Westbrook, Joyce (Hughes) Carr, Susan Baird, Connie Marcellus, Patricia Jimpson, Anita Ferguson, Jill Hughes; and one brother, Marvin Hughes; grandchildren, Sean Ridley and Devin Batiste. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial service Friday, August 7, 2015, at 6 p.m. at the Welborn Temple, 121 Jay St., Albany. An interment service with military honors will be held Friday at 4 p.m. at the Greenbush Cemetery in the family plot.
