Diane (DeRouville) Harley , VRHS Class of 1965

Harley, Diane D. ALBANY Diane D. Harley, 71, passed away on March 26, 2018, surrounded by her loving family. Diane was born in Albany to the late Walter and Paula de Rouville on July 17, 1947. She was also predeceased by her brother, John de Rouville.

Diane grew up in Rensselaer with her brothers. She graduated from Van Rensselaer High School and was employed by the Troy School District for many years. Diane enjoyed spending time with family, going out to eat at her favorite restaurants and taking over twenty cruises with her husband, Jim. She loved to cook and had a tremendous sense of humor. She was a humble woman who always put the people that she loved first.

Diane is survived by her loving husband and best friend, James V. Harley Jr.; sons, Jason (Dana) Kentzel and Evan (Mary Elizabeth) Harley; and grandchildren, Zackery, Joseph, Paul and Julia. She is also survived by her brother, Steven ( Dr. Stephen Jankowski) de Rouville; her wonderful friends, Barry and Marge Manning; and many coworkers and friends. She will be missed by her Labrador, Murray.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society. She will be missed, but her loved ones take comfort in the fact that someday we will feel her embrace again.
