Robert "Bob" B Leffler , VRHS Class of 1956

East Nassau Robert B. "Bob" Leffler, 75, passed away peacefully on Sunday afternoon at Samaritan Hospital surrounded by his loving family.

Robert was born in Rensselaer, NY a son of the late William and Winifred Leffler. He was a graduate of Rensselaer High School, HVCC and Russell Sage College where he received his Degree in Criminal Justice. Bob honorably and valiantly served his country in the United States Marine and as Captain for the New York State Police Department Troop G. He was so proud of those accomplishments. He loved to hunt, fish and shoot. He was a member of the Hendrick Hudson Fish & Game Club and a communicant of the Immaculate Conception Church in New Lebanon.

Robert was predeceased by his son, Kevin Leffler.

Survivors include his beloved wife of almost 54 years, Karen M. Leffler; devoted children, Daniel (Cindy) Leffler, Kathy (Shawn) Derby, Jim (Ravani) Leffler, Erin Kormos, Patrick Leffler 9 grandchildren 7 great-grandchildren he is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Mass to which relatives and friends are invited to attend will be celebrated on Wednesday April 23rd at 1 PM at the Immaculate Conception Church, 732 State Rte. 20, New Lebanon.
