Deb was a Rensselaer graduate of the class of 1974 who touched the lives of many through her tireless volunteerism and involvement. She was actively involved in several nonprofit organizations and assisted with a wide variety of fundraisers and events. Deb was a longtime member of the Rensselaer Alumni Association. During her tenure, she served as the Vice President, participated on committees and assisted in planning many community events. She was an assistant treasurer, secretary, board member, and chairperson of many different committees within the Rensselaer Kiwanis. Deb was a member of the Friends of the Rensselaer Public Library and volunteered for Rensselaer Pop Warner and Rensselaer Little League. Additionally, she was an honorary member of the Eastern Star. Deb leaves behind a legacy of grace, passion, and commitment to her family and community that the Alumni Association would like to honor through this award.
This one-time award of $100 is given to a high school graduating senior who emulates Deb’s dedication to her community and it will be presented during the graduation ceremony.
Is to reward a graduating senior who has the following qualities:

Participates in community service events and activities on a regular basis

A strong passing average (80 or higher)

Is always willing to help others
Process for application:
The principal and guidance counselors will solicit input from teachers to choose the student for this award before the graduation ceremony.

Valley Cats Night at the Joe Bruno stadium. It was their Star Wars Night and the Alumni attended it on July 22.
