Shirley (Mallory) Tilley , VRHS Class of 1950
Poestenkill- Shirley Anne Tilley age 89, passed away March 29, 2023, at Van Rensselaer Manor. She was born in Rensselaer on July 12, 1933 and was the daughter of the late Albert and Ruth Mallory. Shirley was a devoted homemaker and mother. Shirley was a loving wife and the best mother a child could have, always with a smile on her face. She enjoyed nothing more than spending her time with her kids, grandkids, her animals outside and would do anything for anyone. She will be deeply missed by all that knew her. On July 24, 1954, Shirley married the love of her life and best friend Harold Arthur Tilley, Sr. in Wynantskill. Loving mother of Donna (Timothy) Sluus, Dennis (Wendy) Tilley, Lori (Nicholas) Kaiser, Harold Jr., and Thomas (Colleen) Tilley. Sister of Paul Mallory, Marion Fuss and the late Eileen Dunbar, Barbara Foust, Doris Rutolo, Albert Mallory, Richard Mallory and Roy Mallory. She is also survived by 11 wonderful grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral will be private at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in Elmwood Hill Cemetery, Troy.
