Kevin D Bruno, Sr , VRHS Class of 1972

RENSSELAER -- Kevin D. Bruno, 67 of Rensselaer, passed away on Tuesday, June 29, 2021, at the Hospice Inn at St. Peter's Hospital. Kevin was born on April 1, 1954, in Albany, the son of the late Louis and Maragaret (Crowley) Bruno.

Kevin proudly served in the Navy during the Vietnam War. Kevin worked at the Watervliet Arsenal for 20 years before going to work as a letter carrier and retired after 25 years as a mail handler for USPS. He was a well respected man that was loved by all who knew him. His hobbies included bowling, umpiring, and coaching little league. Kevin delivered pizzas for Jim's Pizza for over 30 years and will forever be known as the "the pizza man."

Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Kristine K. Bruno. He was the devoted father of Kevin (Jill) Bruno Jr., Johanna (Andy Wilzbach) Bruno, and Jamie Ryder; and brother of Frank (Sam), Louie (Bonnie), Tony (Kristen), Tommy (Donna), Micky and his loving sister Michelle. Kevin was the proud grandad/grandpa of Alexis, Kevin III, Ariella, Ethan, Ava, Skylar, and James.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his calling hours on Thursday from 4-7 p.m. at the Church of St. Mary, 163 Columbia Tpke., Rensselaer. The Mass of Christian death and Burial will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Friday in the Church of St. Mary. Send condolences at www.wjrockefeller.com
