Henry "Dick" R Glatz , VRHS Class of 1963

ALBANY Henry R. (Dick) Glatz, age 61 years, of So. Allen Street passed away Saturday, July 1, 2006 at the Stratton VA Medical Center.

He was born in Albany and lived in Rensselaer for many years before moving to Albany 31 years ago. Dick attended St. John's Academy in Rensselaer and graduated from Van Rensselaer High School. During his days at Van Rensselaer High School, he was an outstanding football player, playing the position of power fullback. Dick was a disabled U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War.

Son of the late Frederick J. and Regina Coyne Glatz; brother of Vincent (Chick) Glatz of Albany and Frederick (Lori) Glatz of Rensselaer; uncle of Christine Glatz; great friend of Coach Walt Dlugolecki, Mike Burch, Jo Jo Bergelia Jr., Mike Fusco, Richard Nucci, Angela and Geraldine Burger, Patty Whitbeck, who was there when Dick passed, Ned Gardner, Sgt. Ray Chamberlain, Dr. Frank Litty, Ph.D., McCaffery Family, Bobby Danzy, Maureen Pintz Clark and Bernie and Lou Mulligan.

Interment is in Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville.

Dick's brother, Chick would like to thank Dr. Roberta Miller, Sue Morse, Cheryl Brennan, Katie Leahy, Gerri Govollu, Dr. Steve Jnkowsowi, Dr. Steve DeRouvle, Dr. Sumner Goodman, Dr. Anthony DeTommasi, Dr. Nancy Nelson, Dr. Nancy Jane, Dr Obie, Dr. Ogilvie, Jennifer Guttrell, Pat Joyce, Dr. Lois Miller, John Baldwin, Dental Dept. at the VA Medical Center, Richard at the Food Dept. VA Medical Center, Mary Ellen Piche (Director Stratton VA), William Givney DAV Supervisor NSO, Irene DAV Secretary and all the angels on 9B and 7B at the VA Medical Center ICU and Emergency Room Staffs including Grace and Debbie.

In memory and honor of his brother Dick, Chick would like to thank all the Vietnam Veterans, welcome home you are not forgotten.
