Tom followed in his father's footsteps to the race track where he competed with his brothers and cousins. He passed his love of racing onto his children with racing dirt bikes and then onto the dirt track. His passion for racing never wavered as the 4th generation of Sanchez Racing started at the dirt track with his first grandson.

Anyone that was acquainted with Tom knew his happiest moments were spent with his grandchildren. From Dance recitals, School plays, Concerts, nights spent at the race track and countless hours in the garage working on the race car then onto tea parties, dollar store shopping sprees, trips to McDonalds, birthdays and graduations, Tom was a very involved Poppy. His finals days were spent blessed, babysitting his fourth and beloved grandchild Karsyn.
