Gerald "Jerry" J Maguire , VRHS Class of 1972
Gerald "Jerry" Maguire was born January 12th, 1953 in Albany, New York and passed away with his br> beloved wife of 25 years, Carolyn Maguire, by his side on November 19th, 2022 in Shenandoah, br> Texas. br> br> Always up for an adventure, Jerry moved to Texas after high school in search of br> employment. In 1996, Jerry met Carolyn and they were married on May 24, 1997. One of Jerry's br> favorite pastimes was attending and volunteering at The Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo. He and br> Carolyn faithfully served the Livestock Committee for 25 years, both becoming Lifetime Members. br> Many treasured memories were made over the years at the HLS&R from riding rides with all the br> Grandkids to working the events with friends that became family. Jerry also enjoyed participating br> in BBQ Cookoffs with his "Show Me The Money" Team of cookers, traveling in his RV with Carolyn br> and attending the many sporting events of the Grandchildren. Jerry had a love of baseball, playing br> on teams well into his adult years. He also had a love of music and passed down his love of The br> Beatles to many of the Grandchildren. br> br> Jerry is survived by his wife Carolyn and their constant companion Casper, Stepchildren Paul Jones, br> Lisa Droddy and husband Eric. Grandchildren, Laci Jones, Dawson Jones and wife Karoline , Easton br> Droddy and wife Madison, Parker Hailey and wife Leah, Jaiden Droddy, Kieran Droddy and Teagan br> Droddy. He is also survived by eight siblings, Sisters Barbara Blasen, Mary Maguire, Kathleen br> McDonald and husband Randy Roehr, Theresa Jones and husband Rusty. Brothers, Michael Maguire, br> Richard Maguire and wife Claire, Daniel Maguire and wife Theresa, Francis Maguire and wife br> Maureen. He was preceded in death by his Mother and Father Francis and Mary Maguire and one br> Sister, Diane Maguire. br> br> Interment at Chita Cemetery, Chita, Texas after service at the Trinity Pines Baptist Church in Trinity, Texas.
