John E Carpinello, Jr , VRHS Class of 1961
NORTH GREENBUSH -- John E. Carpinello Jr., 78 of North Greenbush, passed away on January 3, 2022. He was the son of the late John E. Carpinello Sr. and Mildred (Clark) Carpinello of Rensselaer. John was born and raised in Rensselaer and graduated from Van Rensselaer High School in 1961. He became a diesel mechanic and worked for Polsinello Fuels for 20-plus-years before retiring from H.L. Gauge. He loved fishing, boating, camping and especially traveling to Maine and Florida. He loved spending time with his family, lending a helping hand and making others laugh. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him. John was the husband of Nancy Carpinello for 49 wonderful years; father of John F. (Kelly) Carpinello and Lisa (Jamie) Rescott; and grandfather, "Papa," of Ty, Jay, and Rocco Carpinello and Emily Rescott. He is also survived by his brother, Michael (Wayne) Carpinello; sister, Sue (Dennis) Hempstead; brother-in-law, Lou Turtenwald; and nephews, Christopher and John Hempstead. At this time there will be no service. A celebration of his life will be announced at a later date for family and friends to attend.
