William "Billy" Burton , VRHS Class of 1970
Clifton Park -- William M. Burton "Billy" ,70, passed away Friday, February 17, 2023, in the comfort of his home. Born in Albany he was a lifelong resident of the Capital Rehion finally settling in Clifton Park. He graduated from Van Rensselaer High School in 1970, going on to Hudson Valley college to get an Associate of Arts in 1972 and then a Bachelor of Arts from State University of New York College at Brockport in 1973. He worked as a wine and liquor salesman for 30 years eventually retiring from Eber Bros. Billy had a passion for music, he enjoyed playing his piano and listening to others play music. He could be found watching cooking shows, trying to duplicate the recipes. Billy is survived by his loving partner, Patti Montanino; and little dog Mickey; his mother, Arline Burton; his two daughters, Kristen Lovett and Kerri Burton Shuck of Texas; and his grandchildren, Lexi and Bella. He was predeceased by his father, William H. Burton; sister, Kathleen Burton; and grandchild, Isabella. Thank you to hospice for care during his final days, along with neighbor, Thom Hunt for always being there. Private services are being conducted.
