Gregory A Lever , VRHS Class of 1965
ROXAS CITY, Philippines Gregory A. Lever sadly slipped from the bonds of the Earth on June 30, 2016. A graduate of Van Rensselaer High School and Hudson Valley Community College Greg, joined the U.S. Coast Guard in 1965 and served active duty for four years. While assigned to Coast Guard at LORAN Station, Talampulan, he met and wed the love of his life, Editha. After his discharge from the Coast Guard, he served as an officer of both the Rensselaer Police Department and Albany Police Department, Division II. Upon his retirement from the police force, Greg and his family spent some years at their homes in Kissimmee and Key West, Fla. In 1999, he and his wife moved to the Philippines. Greg is predeceased by his parents, Shirley and Earle Lever; and his brother-in-law, Michael Rohloff. He is survived by siblings, Michael (Cheryn) Lever, Kathleen (Andy) Crawford and Lois Rohloff. In addition to his wife Editha, he leaves behind his four children, Aaron Lever, Anthony (Michelle) Lever, Sonja Lever and Carlos Lever and four granddaughters.
