Robert "Pat Scoop" Lewis , VRHS Class of 1967
Rensselaer-Robert Pat Lewis age 64 years of Rensselaer passed away at his residence Thursday March 31, 2011 surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Albany and has lived in Rensselaer all his life. Pat was employed as a kettle operator for Schenectady International. He was a member of the James Hill Hook and Ladder Fire Co. in Rensselaer, Fort Crailo American Legion Post 471, Rensselaer Victory Club, Rensselaer Eagles and Hollow Hawks. Pat was a founding member of Rensselaer Pop Warner Football. Husband of the late Judith LaPorta Lewis; father of Paul (Stacey) Lewis of Latham, Scott (Julie) Lewis of Annapolis, MD, Brian (Cara) Lewis of Townsend, DE and Amanda (Jason Spanky) Santaski of Rensselaer; son of Paul G. Lewis of East Greenbush and the late Dorothy E. Felt Lewis; brother of Joe (Margo) Lewis of Raleigh, NC and Mike (Kathy) Lewis of East Greenbush. Devoted Pop of 12 grandchildren. Also survived by several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. Funeral will be from the W.J. Lyons Jr. Funeral Home 1700 Washington Avenue Rensselaer, Tuesday morning at 10:00. All are welcome to attend. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the funeral home Monday from 4-8 pm. Interment will be in New Rural Cemetery, East Greenbush.
