George A Plue, Sr , VRHS Class of 1970

Plue, George A. Sr. RENSSELAER George A. Plue, Sr., 61, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 14, 2013 at Albany Memorial Hospital.

Born in Albany, he was the son of the late Harold and Anna Mae (Ellis) Plue. George was a resident of Rensselaer for all of his life. He served in the Air Force Reserves for seven years. George also worked for Yankee Doodle Taxi. He was a member of the Gerald O'Neil VFW 1683 and the Fraternal Order of Eagles Post 4446. In his free time, he enjoyed camping with friends.

Along with his parents, George was predeceased by his first wife, Ruth Marie (Diamond) Plue and brother, Harold Plue. He will be missed by his loving wife of 8 years, Kathleen Plue; children, Al (Dawn) Plue of Castleton, Jackie (Glen) Fish of Albany, George Plue, Jr., of Rensselaer, Christopher Plue of Albany, and Stephanie Plue of Albany; stepdaughter, Dana Kelly of Pittstown; seven grandchildren; siblings, Jean Plue and Catherine (Pat) Murphy, and many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday at 7 p.m. at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie. Calling hours will precede the service from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. In place of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice of Rensselaer, 295 Valley View Boulevard, Rensselaer, NY 12144 in George's name.
