Albany - Bernard R. "Bernie" Stock, 69, died Wednesday, March 14, 2007 at his home after a courageous battle with cancer. Bernie was the beloved husband of 44 years of Nancy Ruede Stock. br> Born in Rensselaer, he was the sone of the late Charles M and Clara (Carman) Stock. He was a graduate of Van Rensselaer High School and a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. Bernie was a senior lab tech for the NYS Department of Health, retiring in 1995. An accomplished musician, he played the trumpet in a Dixieland band called the Old Wazoo Good Time Band. Bernie was a horse racing enthusiast and an avid Siena Saints basketball fan. br> Survivors in addition to his wife include three daughters, Michele A Caroli of Kissimmee, Fla., Cheryl L. Stock of Albany and Kimberly R. Lathrop of Rensselaer: his brother, Charles W. (Barbara) Stock of Rensselaer: three grandchildren, Jonathan and Alexandra Caroli and Celena A. Lathrop; his brother-in-law, Rev. Ernest Ruede of New Bern, N.C.,; his sister-in-law, Mary E. (Barry) Wengert of Cedar Lake, N.Y.; nieces and nephews. br> The family would like to thank Dr. Joseph Dudek and the nurses at NY Oncology Hematology for the kind and compassionate care given to Bernie during his illness. br> Internment, Our Lady Help of Christians Cemetery, Glenmont.
