Grennon, Carolyn (Robinson) WEST SAND LAKE Carolyn Robinson Grennon, 67, of Rockery Terrace, died Tuesday, July 10, 2007 at Memorial Hospital in Albany after a brief illness. Born in Albany, she was the daughter of the late Charles Robinson and Gertrude Garvey Robinson and wife of the late Richard W. Grennon. She was raised in Rensselaer and resided in West Sand Lake for 35 years and was a graduate of Van-Rensselaer High School in Rensselaer. Mrs. Grennon was an office administrator for the New York State Office of the Aging for 30 years, retiring five years ago. She is survived by a daughter, Holly Ann (Raymond) Howell of Nassau; a son, Richard W. Grennon Jr. of Iowa; six grandchildren, Heather and Crystal Howell, Michael and Robert Childrose and Alysha and Richard Grennon; two sisters, Marilyn Sakacs of Schenectady and Helen Bouton of Schenectady; an aunt, Alfreda Smith and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, John R. "Robbie" Grennon. Funeral service will be held Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at the DeGraaf-Bryce Funeral Home Inc., 4392 Route 150, West Sand Lake. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home Friday from 4-8 p.m. Interment, Evergreen Cemetery in Schenectady.
