Donna (Choquette) Ruymar , VRHS Class of 1994
Donna Choquette Ruymar died on March 31, 2022, at the age of 45. She was born in North Providence, R.I. on September 5, 1976, the daughter of Andrew and Patricia Choquette. Donna graduated from Rensselaer High School in Rensselaer in 1994. She later graduated from Russell Sage College of Albany, with a M.B.A. in 2002. She worked for Russell Sage College of Albany, Northeast Lumber and Supply Co. in Rensselaer, and the New York State EIP office in Albany. Donna moved to Edmonton, Alberta to be with her husband Cole. Donna was a kind soul who enjoyed reading about history. She loved to volunteer to help others. Donna is survived by her husband of 11 years, Cole, and two cats, Oliver and Pickles. Donna was much beloved and will be sadly missed. She is also survived by her parents, Andrew and Patricia Choquette of Rensselaer; sister, Kristin (Justin) Preston of Otego, N.Y.; a niece, Lily; and nephew, Derek as well as aunts, uncles and cousins. A memorial Mass will be held in The Parish of St. John the Evangelist and St. Joseph Church in Rensselaer at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 25. In lieu of flowers, a donation in memory of Donna may be made to the American Diabetes Association, Upstate New York chapter, P.O. Box 7023 Merrifield, VA, 22116-7023.
