Brian Sann , VRHS Class of 1964

SILVER BAY Brian S. Sann, 62, of Silver Bay, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, April 20, 2009 at his residence. Born in Albany, N.Y., on June 6, 1946, he was the son of the late George Louis Sann and Esther Smith Sann Wideman.

Mr. Sann has been a permanent resident of Silver Bay since his retirement in 2001. Prior to that he vacationed in Silver Bay for 25 years. Mr. Sann was a graduate of the University of Michigan, and was an actuarial consultant for Conrad M. Siegel, Inc in Harrisburg, Pa. He was an American Red Cross Volunteer in Harrisburg, Pa., and was a board member of the Silver Bay Association. Mr. Sann was an active member of the First United Methodist Church of Ticonderoga and coordinated several small mission trips including Hurricane Katrina assistance. He was very active in community organizations, including the Northern Lake George Rotary Club and the Torch Club of Ticonderoga. He also began the Math Club Program at the Ticonderoga Middle School.

Survivors include his wife, Beverly (Sitterley) Sann; one daughter, Sharon Bree Sann and her husband John Lin of San Diego, Calif.; one sister, Karen Johnson of Fredericksburg, Va. and many nieces and nephews. A memorial service was held at the Silver Bay Chapel. Interment is in the family plot of the Valley View Cemetery of Ticonderoga.
