Christine (Reed) Dearstyne , VRHS Class of 1968
Christine Dearstyne RENSSELAER Christine Dearstyne passed away on November 3, 2013 with her loving family at her side. Born on October 8, 1949, she was a life long resident of Rensselaer. She was a graduate of VR High School, veteran of the US Air Force and a retired keyboard specialist for NYS. Christine was the daughter of the late William and Alfretta Reed and was predeceased by the love of her life, Joseph Dearstyne. Chris was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother leaving behind her cherished children, Katrina, Stacy and Eric (Kathy) Treffiletti; and grandchildren, Darrean, McKenzie, and Elizabeth. Chris is also survived by her sisters, Jean (Michael) Nunziato and Ona Smith. She is predeceased by her brother, Bill Reed; and sister, Laurie Nyland. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Funeral was at the Rockefeller Funeral Home. Interment at New Rural Cemetery, East Greenbush, NY.
