Sandra L (Reimann) Staats , VRHS Class of 1954

EAST GREENBUSH The Staats family wish to thank God for the life and love of Sandy Staats who entered into eternal rest in her 70th year on October 9, 2005. Sandy grew up in Rensselaer and later moved to East Greenbush. She was a graduate of Van Rensselaer High School. By profession, she was a care giver who served as an administrator at the Eddy Adult Home in Troy, and later specialized in home and hospice care. While she will be remembered for her love of flower gardening, theater, opera, travel and warm weather, she will be especially loved for her devotion to her family. She was the daughter of the late Bill and Millie Reimann; a sister to Bill Reimann and sister-in-law to Marcia Reimann of Rensselaer and the late Jean Thompson of Canton, N.Y. Sandy is survived by her husband of 48 years, Bill. She had seven children and terrific sons and daughters-in-law, Mark and Melissa Staats, Grant and Kathy Staats, Jennifer and Craig Hoeffner, Kristina (Giss) and Steven Erby, Heather and Donald Waters, Greg Staats and companion Vince Pierre, and Victoria Staats. She is also survived by 15 beloved grandchildren, Meghan and Kevin Staats, Ethan and Evan Staats, Dan, TJ and Alex Kirsch, Zachary and Nicholas Hoeffner, Matthew and Brandon Erby, Tyler, Sawyer, Connor and Hannah Waters. A memorial service will be held at First Church in Albany, 110 North Pearl Street, Albany at 10 a.m. Saturday, October 22, 2005.
