Albany- Raymond M. Rowe, Jr. age 65 of Albany passed away on Tuesday, October 7, 2014. Ray was born in Albany on June 6th, 1949, was raised in Rensselaer, before moving back to Albany. He was employed by the U.S. Postal Service, New Karner Road, in the registered mail department. Ray was a very proud US Navy Veteran of the Viet Nam War. He was a volunteer fireman for 25 years and enjoyed carpentry and wood working. Husband of Ladora Drannbauer Rowe of Albany. Father of Shawn (Allison) Rowe of VA. Step-father of Donald (Amber) VanEtten and Edward VanEtten. Son of the late Raymond M. Rowe, Sr. and Frances Smith Rowe. Brother of Linda (Dan) Sanchez of West Sand Lake, Debbie (Keith) Anderson of Schenectady, Wayne Rowe of Rensselaer, Nancy (Ed) Quell of Cossayuna and the late Howard Rowe. Also survived by 8 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
