Melissa J Seney , VRHS Class of 1974
Schodack- Melissa J. Seney, 66, passed away peacefully on March 19, 2022 with her children by her side after a brief illness at Albany Medical Center. Melissa was not only a daughter, aunt, mother and a grandmother, but she was also a great friend. She would be by your side even if she had other issues of her own going on. Melissa worked hard for so many years as an industrial machinery mechanic. She enjoyed taking vacations on the coast of Maine and would love going crab fishing. She would enjoy fly fishing at 2nd bridge in Kinderhook. But the one thing she had a passion for was taking care of her horses and even competing in various competitions. Melissa loved her family...if it was hosting numerous New Year's Eve parties or getting together at a family member's house and enjoying a barbecue and singing her favorite songs by Patsy Cline or "the rose" with her sisters. She cherished the family parties that would end around the campfire singing along to her brother Bob's guitar. Melissa was truly an amazing person and always wanted to be free and live for the moment. Survived by her children Danta (Michele) Seney, Sr., Rylyn Zupan, Doron (Mike) Bruns, Sumer Quickenton, seven grandchildren; Danta, Jr., Koda, Paylyn, Kalel, Addalynn, Harper, and Lucca, four sisters, and three brothers. She was predeceased by her first love Joseph Perez. The family will be having a private celebration of life in the near future.
