Gail L (Branion) Secor , VRHS Class of 1960
Secor, Gail L. EAST GREENBUSH Gail L. Secor, 80 of East Greenbush, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, April 13, 2022, at home. Gail was born in Rensselaer, the daughter of William H. and Mildred (Hunt) Branion. She was owner operator of Millie's Kitchen in Rensselaer and later retired from Hudson Valley Community College Food Service Department where she joyfully fed the "kids" for many years. She was past matron, district deputy grand matron, and grand chaplain in the Order of the Eastern Star. Survivors include daughter, Beth (Rusty) Buckner; sons, Scott (Cathy) Secor, and Gregg (Margie) Secor; as well as her brother, Joseph (Marilyn) Branion. She will fondly be remembered as Meggies to her eight grandchildren, Meghan, Sean, Rachel, Ryan, Caitlyn, Jennifer, Ashley and Alisha; as well as her four great-grandchildren, Henry, Brayden, Seamus, and Hunter. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews, as well as dear friends (you know who you are). In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her adoring husband, Donald W. Secor; brothers, William and Raymond Branion. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral on Tuesday, 11 a.m. at Wm.J. Rockefeller Funeral Home, 165 Columbia Tpke., Rensselaer. Interment will be in the New Rural Cemetery, East Greenbush. Friends may call Monday, from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
