It is with much regret that under the current New York State guidelines for the COVID-19 pandemic and the uncertainty that lies ahead, the board has decided, in conjunction with the choices Birch Hill has given us, that our best course of action is to cancel the dinner for this year, again.  It is rescheduled for next year on Saturday April 9th, 2022.  By doing this there will be no other inductions for 2022.
Please help us in contacting family and friends who planned on attending and paid for a reservation.  We are offering refunds if they or you give us the names and addresses of your party members.  Or, if they choose, we can hold onto the reservation, or a third option is to donate the money to us and buy another reservation next year for the induction dinner.
Thank you for your understanding and patience while we all deal with this new way of living.  We hope you are all well and stay that way.  PLEASE LET ME KNOW YOU RECEIVED THIS MESSAGE.
Lynne Beiermeister, President Rensselaer Alumni Association

As of today, 125 members shown on the Supporting Members Page have contributed to our 2021 fund drive a total of almost $7000. Will you be number 126 and put us over $7000?

According to our President, Lynne Beiermeister, this past year the alumni association gave several donations to support school programs and activities e.g. helped with graduation expenses ($2000+); the sports program fundraiser ($5000); the food backpack program ($1000); our annual Centennial awards ($1000); the Enrichment Grant was doubled ($2000) plus we pay for the Hall of Fame plaques and dinner.

We'd really like our membership drive to help cover these worthwhile expenditures so we can do it again for our community in 2021. Everyone who ever attended a Rensselaer City School is automatically a member so, you really don't have to give anything. It's up to you to decide. Please give if you can. Simply make a check out for any denomination payable to "Rensselaer Alumni" and mail it the the association at:

Rensselaer Alumni
25 Van Rensselaer Dr.,
Rensselaer, NY 12144

with "membership" in the memo line.
