Margaret "Marge" (Frankoski) Weldon , VRHS Class of 1962
RENSSELAER -- Margaret A. Weldon, "Marge," age 77 years of Rensselaer, passed away on Wednesday, February 16, 2022, at St. Peter's Hospital. She resided in Rensselaer for the last 72 years. Marge graduated from Van Rensselaer High School, class of '62. She was predeceased by her parents, Raymond S. and Anna Frankoski; and her husband, J. F. "Sonny" Weldon Jr. Marge is survived by her son, John F. "Buster" Weldon III. She was the sister of Stephen (Bea) and Raymond (Mary Kay) Frankoski; and is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews, and great and great-great-nieces and nephews. Marge worked as a beautician, as a secretary at Sun Oil and, after 39 years of dedicated service, retired from Rensselaer Housing Authority. Marge enjoyed being outside, road-trips and her new joy riding her Can-Am Spyder. She also loved getting together with her second family from the Rensselaer Fraternal Order of Eagles local and across the state. A funeral service conducted by her beloved Order of Eagles will be bestowed on Sunday at 6:30 p.m. in the W.J. Lyons, Jr. Funeral Home, 1700 Washington Ave., Rensselaer. Relatives and friends are invited and may call prior to the service from 4-6:30 p.m.
