Sandra "Sandy" Pratt , VRHS Class of 1981
CANAJOHARIE -- Sandra "Sandy" Pratt, 58 of Canajoharie, passed away peacefully on June 15, 2021. Born on August 4, 1962, Sandy grew up in Rensselaer and graduated from Rensselaer High School in 1981. Sandy lived a quiet life in the country with her longtime boyfriend, Larry Shipman. Sandy and Larry built a house together, and enjoyed the wildlife along with their pets. Survivors include her mother, Vivian Pratt; her children, Christopher (Mallory) Fremgen and Amanda (Troy) Derouin; her three beloved grandchildren, Chase, Cole and Charlotte; and her siblings, Gerald (Christina), Patricia Adams, David (Constance), Shirley Daigle, Wendell, Stephen, Joanne (Jeffrey) Zimmerman, and Marianne (Robert) Davidson, as well as several nieces and nephews. Sandy was predeceased by her father, Robert Pratt. Calling hours will be from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. on Friday, June 18, at the Wm. J. Rockefeller Funeral Home Inc. ,165 Columbia Tpke., Rensselaer. Interment will follow in the New Rural Cemetery, 330 3rd Ave., Rensselaer.
