David Paul Anthony Hopeck , VRHS Class of 1975
February 8, 1956 -- June 17, 2026 Rensselaer - David P. Hopeck, age 70, passed away on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, at Albany Medical Center. Born in Albany, David was the son of the late Albert and Rose Hopeck. David loved music, played the guitar, and was an avid reader. He is survived by his daughters, Rhianna Hopeck and Erica Mooney (David); his siblings, Barbara Spiak, Nancy Tedisco (Thomas), Phyllis Hopeck (William Provost), and Kenneth Hopeck (Cindy); as well as his grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society, 3 Oakland Avenue, Menands, NY 12204.
