Loucene (Link) Trustworthy , VRHS Class of 1927

Trueworthy, Anna "Loucene" RENSSELAER Anna "Loucene" Trueworthy, 106, of East Greenbush died Thursday, April 2, 2015, at her home. Loucene was born in East Greenbush and was the oldest resident born in the town.

Loucene was a bookkeeper for Bame Insurance Agency for many years before retiring. Loucene was a life member of the Van Rensselaer Eastern Star Chapter 256, a charter member of the East Greenbush Historical Society, a member of the East Greenbush United Methodist Church where she was a former organist and a member of the Embellishments Bell Choir until she turned 100. Loucene was also a former member and officer of the United Methodist Women. She was a member of the Yankee Doodle Entertainers where she played the piano until she was 100.

Loucene is predeceased by her beloved husband, John W. Trueworthy Jr.; sister Mildred Banker; a brother, Glen Link; and son-in-law, Frank Becker. Anna is survived by her children, Cynthia Becker and John Wesley Trueworthy III and Linda (daughter-in-law); a sister, Eva M. Link. Loucene is also the proud grandmother of nine grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, four great- great-grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews.
